Noor Abd-Allah, M.S.
Taking care of ourselves and exploring our inner world is crucial for our well-being, especially in a world that values constant productivity and efficiency. As a registered psychology associate licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC, my approach to psychotherapy is centered around self-discovery and growth. I believe that a safe and trusting environment is essential for individuals to learn from their experiences and heal. As such, I pay special attention to my relationship with each individual patient. When you work with me, you can expect a supportive and attentive space for curiosity, insight, and a bit of humor along the way.
My Education, Training, Interests and Approach
I have a master's degree in clinical psychology and am currently pursuing a PsyD at Loyola University in Maryland. I've had the privilege of working with various populations across several settings, including adult outpatient community clinics, private practices, Veterans Affairs medical centers, as well as residential treatment settings for adolescents. I especially enjoy working with those who protect the welfare of others, such as first responders, healthcare professionals, humanitarian workers, and public servants. Throughout my training I fostered an interest in trauma and its impact on individuals, communities and society as a whole. Trauma reveals symptoms in many different forms, including day-to-day distress. I approach issues such as compassion fatigue/ burnout, complex family dynamics, grief and loss, and relationship challenges from a trauma-informed perspective.
Let's Journey Together
I believe that your autonomy and sense of safety are crucial in our work together. So, if you choose to pursue this journey with me, you can anticipate a relationship, centered around your needs and concerns, and a supportive environment to explore your experiences. I look forward to meeting you!
