Book a consultationPerhaps asking for help or talking about emotions were not encouraged in your family. You’re not sure how talking to someone can benefit you, but you’re stuck in a distressing space and it hasn't let up.
You keep your guard up with others as you worry, you’ll be judged or hurt again. Yet, you also feel lonely, excluded or misunderstood.
You know you can achieve more and feel prouder of yourself, but success also feels unsettling and self-sabotage persists.
You would like to feel more confident and self-assured, but fear of rejection and the opinions of others keep you anxious with self-doubt
Although you're typically reflective and value self-care, you've been unhappy for a while, and you're not sure to what to do about it.
While others see your accomplishments, behind closed doors you feel inadequate. You constantly replay past failures in your mind, critiquing yourself for one thing or another.
This isn’t new. You’re always trying to do better or be more. After all, you were taught you had to be twice as good to get half as far. The lesson was motivating, yet in practice its exhausting and sometimes discouraging.
You’ve tried ignoring it all and push through because thinking about it feels fruitless.
But these emotions manifest in disruptive ways until they receive the attention they require to be worked through and repurposed.
Therapy offers a space to process our experiences and gain deeper insight into ourselves.
This knowledge can be liberating and empowering as it allows us to develop new perspectives, make different choices, and forge new patterns and outcomes in life.
Change and growth are made possible through a deep therapeutic process where you can explore your life’s story and discover novel resolutions to ongoing problems.
- Audrey Lorde
While some therapies focus on the “news of the week,” we will focus on moving beyond the surface to address the underlying issues that interrupt the joys of life.
By questioning unconscious patterns, this in-depth approach shifts the focus from symptoms, to deep learning and self-knowledge, centering your full humanity.
Together, we can break down facades, confront difficult truths, pursue fulfillment, and develop a more desirable life.

Getting started with therapy can come with a lot of questions. Maybe some of these can answer them.
We do not accept insurance, and we do not participate with Medicaid; however, insurance can still help you pay for treatment. We are considered "out-of-network providers", which means your insurance can reimburse you a percentage of the cost depending on your coverage. The typical reimbursement rate ranges from 60%-80% of the cost. We recommend that you call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them the following questions:
Before the initial appointment, we will arrange a 15 – 20-minute phone call to learn about your concerns and reasons for pursuing therapy. We will also share how we work and answer any questions you may have. From there, we will decide on whether to schedule an initial consultation.
Finding a good match between therapist and patient is essential to a good course of therapy. With that in mind, we’ve tried to describe how we work throughout this website. Take some time to read through the site to get a sense of our approach. Then we can have the initial phone consultation before the first appointment, where you can ask questions and discuss any reservations or concerns.
Finally, book an initial session. It can be challenging to understand how we’ll work together without being with each other in a session. You do not have to commit to regular sessions after the first meeting. After about 3 – 4 sessions, we’ll both know whether the fit is right. Once we figure that out, we’ll discuss the frequency of our meetings and how to proceed.
We are a hybrid practice, meaning we offer both in-person and virtual sessions.
